The “Manual on Peace Education for Teachers” has been designed and developed after series of consultations with different stakeholders and government officials especially Mr. Shaleen Kabra, former Commissioner Secretary Education, Mr. Shah Fasiel former Director Education, Kashmir, faculty members working in DIET Ramban, Budgam and Leh districts, SIET Jammu and SIET Kashmir, Education Core Group members at state in collaboration with Jamia Millia Islami University – Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution – New Delhi. The “Peace Education Manual for Teachers” has been launched by the former education minister of J&K Mr. Altaf Bukhari.
Save the Children is currently working in collaboration with Directorate of School Education and under the guidance of Dr. Tassaduq Hussain Mir KAS (Director School Education Kashmir) Dr. Safdar Ali IRS (Director School Education Ladakh) on various Peace Education initiatives in Kashmir and Ladakh. We thank them for their consistent support.
Training for Peace Education Manual for School Teachers digitized into an online E-Learning course and Mobile App system is an innovative approach towards reaching out to the wider scale of teachers across UT of J&K and Ladakh.
The module is supportive to teachers, trainers and NGO’s who are working closely with children, schools and community.
